Overview:
Symphony Medical, PC is seeking a Per Diem Infectious Disease Hospitalist to provide weekend virtual pager call coverage. This flexible, remote opportunity is ideal for an ID physician looking to supplement their schedule with weekend telemedicine work while maintaining full malpractice protection and a manageable, predictable commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide peer-to-peer consultations for new Infectious Disease cases.
- Conduct remote follow-ups on active census patients per sign-out.
- Document all phone and virtual encounters in Meditech.
Schedule:
- Weekend virtual coverage only: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Fully remote pager call — no on-site presence required.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
- Active, unrestricted medical license required.
- Comfortable working in a virtual/telemedicine environment.
- Experience with Meditech EHR preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills for remote consultations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $1,200 per weekend shift.
- Full malpractice coverage provided.
